India’s economy is at the verge of a comprehensive boom in the industrial sector. Machine Vision is a key technology for India’s economic advancement.
Machine Vision ensures higher productivity and quality in manufacturing, increases agricultural output and sustainability and allows for latest medical diagnostics and treatments. It further enables smart traffic management, secures borders and public spaces, and raises so many other areas to new levels, from defense to education and from sports and entertainment.
The Indian Machine Vision Association (IMVA) follows its mission to facilitate the successful and fast adoption of Machine Vision technologies in the various target markets.
Thus, the Indian people and economy can benefit from the existing state of the art in Machine Vision and IMVA’s member companies can develop globally leading vision technologies and solutions.
Machine Vision is the key technology to automate and improve manufacturing processes. We want to make Machine Vision technologies available to manufactures and ensure that the potential as well as limitations are well understood.
How can I calculate the Return of Investment (ROI) of a machine vision based solution? How can I find the right suppliers? What is the best approach to develop a machine vision solution and get it integrated in a manufacturing process? We want to support (potential) machine vision users in answering these questions above.
The lack of skilled and experienced machine vision engineers is a critical obstacle for advancing the Indian industrial sector. We want to advocate for dedicated university education in machine vision and provide educational materials and trainings by our member companies.
By organizing networking events as well as dedicated trade show appearances, we want the machine vision community, suppliers, and users to learn from each other. Domestic players get the opportunity to connect with international component and solution manufacturers and vice versa.
Advocacy for the interests of the machine vision industry against governmental, regulatory, and industry standard institutions
We facilitate the access of Machine Vision players to customers in their target industries. Publications in trade media and the support of presences at trade shows of target industries help the industry to grow. Target industries include manufacturing automation, life sciences, medical, logistics, transportation and traffic, and others.
